We’ve recently returned from NASCC 2019, which provided a great opportunity for us to exhibit our specialty tooling for the structural steel industry.

Held in St. Louis this year, the Steel Conference is billed as the industry’s premier educational and networking event, bringing together structural engineers, structural steel fabricators, erectors, detailers, and architects.

Conference attendees were particularly interested in American Punch’s annular cutters, pipe notchers, lattice punches and dies and other specialty tooling. Fabricators were surprised and impressed with the wide range of standard and specialty tooling we offer.

NASCC is also the perfect opportunity for industry members to “feel the steel,” as we say. They can get an up-close view of our tooling and learn for themselves the differences that make American Punch stand out among tooling manufacturers. Booth visitors also were interested in our same-day shipping of stock items and our in-house engineering and design capabilities. Another focus of attention was our tooling for popular plate duplicators and angle and beam lines, including Peddinghaus, Controlled Automation, Ficep, Voortman and Sunrise – manufacturers that always gain the notice of the fabricators who attend NASCC.

For our part, we’re glad for the chance to meet with customers and prospects to hear about their concerns (the steel market’s continued volatility and speculation about another recession were two frequent topics) and to remind them of the values that American Punch represents: high-quality standard and specialty tooling manufactured to their specifications, supported by unmatched customer service and delivered on time and on budget.

If you missed the Steel Conference this year, it’s not too early to start planning for NASCC 2020, slated for April 22-24, 2020, in Atlanta.

Better yet, if you have a need for ironworker or specialty tooling, contact us today to take advantage of American Punch’s expertise and commitment to quality.
